About us

We’re bringing easy access to cash and face-to-face banking services to communities across the UK through the provision of banking hubs and other innovative solutions that meet people's needs in the heart of their communities.

A banking hub is a shared banking space on the high street. Hubs offer a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday.

The Hubs also offer a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated banking issues.

We’re a small team of forward-thinking people with a strong social purpose. Our team brings together people from a wide variety of backgrounds including banking, property, construction management, service design, audit, the public and charitable sectors, trade associations and fintech. Having a variety of perspectives on the team is hugely important to us.

Our company has a strong purpose, and our people create our culture. Our shared beliefs guide the way we work. We encourage applications from candidates who embrace our mindsets.

Our mindsets

Failure

‘Sometimes we will fail, but we will do it well’

We accept that failure is inevitable. We will never look for blame but will commit to learning.

Purpose

Our work is more important than our collective success, people out there rely on us every day’

Our work is purposeful because, every day we strive to make life a little easier for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Ambiguity and the unknown

The known is definitive, comfortable but boring. We embrace the unknown where opportunity and excitement exist.

People here must really want to work with ambiguity and continual change.

Growth and development

‘A commitment to develop and grow is the greatest contribution you can make to the team. Own it.’

We avoid unsolicited and unevidenced feedback and reject bureaucracy and labels. We respect and embrace a growth mindset and a willingness to seek honest input from others to help our development.

Diversity

‘We are all the same in that we are all unique. We celebrate our differences however they present themselves.’

We will ultimately fail without diversity of thought, perspective, experience, culture, and skills.

Inclusion

‘We are curious; we care enough to ask then listen first without judgement’.

We look out for each other and treat others how we wish to be treated ourselves.

Culture

‘The culture you are creating today is your legacy to those that come after you.’

We have one opportunity to build the work environment that we have always wanted to work within. Something that others will thank you for in years to come.

Why you should join us

Make a difference

Access to cash is important to millions of people in the UK. We help sustain communities by providing vital services to people and businesses who need them most.

We know our work matters to the communities we serve. This purpose guides everything we do.

We want to build customer loyalty, satisfaction and enthusiasm. We are guided by the needs of our users. We visit communities and listen to people who use our services to improve them.

We help create an environment in which all members of a community can be economically and socially active. Our services encourage footfall on high streets – helping regenerate and sustain communities through access to cash and basic banking.

Be part of a unique opportunity

Cash has been in steady decline in recent years as many people have turned to different ways of paying. Back in 2006, cash accounted for 62% of payments. It’s predicted that by 2031 this will be down to just 6%.

We provide shared cash and basic banking services for the customers of ten banks. Our services include banking hubs (physical buildings with a shared counter for cash transactions plus face-to-face support from the banks) and deposit services (particularly aimed at small businesses, so that they can deposit cash quickly and easily, locally). We will continue to support communities with services for as long as they need us.

We are constantly innovating with new solutions too.

Through our data and insights work, we gather unique information about consumer behaviour, the use of cash and other services in communities and a wide range of other insights. These offer a unique perspective to share with policymakers and regulators.

Work with fantastic colleagues doing great things

Our people make Cash Access UK and you would be joining a fantastic team driven by curiosity and the desire to do important, challenging work.

We are committed to creating a place where colleagues can be themselves and speak openly and honestly about their views. As an organisation, we want to reflect the communities we serve.
