Core Purpose of Role
Sitting within the 2LOD, the core purpose of this role is to provide leadership, oversight, guidance, challenge and assurance in relation to regulatory and compliance risk, to support Cash Access UK’s risk management strategy which ultimately supports the safe and sustainable delivery of Cash Access UK’s strategic objectives. The role provides confidence to Senior Management, the Audit & Risk Committee and Board with regards to Cash Access UKs approach and provides assurance that Cash Access UK activities are in line with regulatory requirements and expectations, as well as compliance with internal Policies and key processes.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
· Deputising for the Chief Risk Officer as required
· Leading the development and maintenance of a positive risk culture aligned with Cash Access UK’s mindsets.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business and with key stakeholders.
· Supporting the Chief Risk Officer with the preparation for Audit & Risk Committee and Board on setting risk strategy.
· Leading on the ongoing development, maintenance and monitoring of the Risk Management, Policy Management and Internal Audit Framework.
· Leading on the compilation and delivery of the 2LOD annual assurance (inc control testing) plan.
· Support the Chief Risk Officer in providing assurance that the business activities operate within the Governance and Operational Agreement.
· Supporting the delivery of the Audit plan in partnership with the outsource supplier including completion of internal audits and monitoring completion of agreed actions
· Providing 1LOD with support, advice and guidance on the identification and management of key risks as well as emerging and horizon risks.
· Supporting risk and control owners in the identification and management of risks and development and maintenance of appropriate policies and processes.
· Training, coaching and encouraging others in proactive risk management.

· Risk management experience in identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring risks as well as control design and operating effectiveness experience.
· Regulatory interpretation, horizon scanning and regulatory business implementation to ensure material compliance.
· Ability to manage ambiguity with curiosity, independence of thought, and proportionality to identify and mitigate key risks to support achievement of business objectives.
· Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a dynamic cross functional team.
· Strong analytic, organisational, and critical thinking skills with a high-level of attention to detail
