All Hayle banking hubs! Six hubs now open in Cornwall
Hayle has a new banking hub. It's open for business in its temporary home inside Passmore Edwards Institute on Hayle Terrace.
Customers of all major banks can visit any weekday between 9am-5pm to carry out regular cash transactions including cash withdrawals and deposits as well as checking balances or paying bills. Additionally, the hub also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank in a private space about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub:
Monday: Barclays
Tuesday: Lloyds (from May)
Wednesday: TBC
Thursday: NatWest
Friday: HSBC
While the hub is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it is currently working to secure a long term home for the banking hub which will offer the same services. Local residents can visit our website for updates.
Another hub was opened this week in Redruth, bringing the total number of hubs in Cornwall to six, following earlier openings in Bodmin, Helston, Looe and Saltash. Work is also progressing to open hubs in Bude, Falmouth and Newquay. The hub in Hayle was recommended by LINK, the UK’s cash access and ATM network following a community request.
Hayle is one of 11 banking hubs that opened yesterday across the UK. The other 9 are in Fleetwood, Keynsham, Wetherby, Alsager, Bakewell, Ballynahinch, Dorking, Dunbar, and Newland.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce that we have opened the new banking hub in Hayle, giving local residents renewed access to cash and in-person banking services. The hub is available for everyday banking transactions every day of the week, and for more specific or complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site to assist on designated days.”
