Bacup Banking Hub officially opens this week
Bacup Banking Hub is now open to customers at 3 Irwell Street.
The official opening will take place at 11.30am on Friday 14th February and everyone is welcome to attend. Andy MacNae, MP for Rossendale and Darwen, will be on hand to cut the ribbon.
The hub will offer a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. There is also a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub. Community bankers are available on the following days:
Monday: Halifax
Tuesday: NatWest
Wednesday: Barclays
Thursday: Santander
Friday: No community banker available
This is the fourth hub to open in Lancashire, following Barnoldswick, Darwen and Great Harwood. Cash Access UK is also working on delivering new hubs in Fleetwood, Garstang, Kirkham and Morecambe.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce the opening of our Bacup hub, ensuring crucial access to cash and face-to-face banking services for residents and businesses across the community. Customers can visit on any day of the week for their everyday banking transactions, and if you have a specific or more complex enquiry for your bank, a community banker will be there to help on the day they’re in the hub.”
