The Rt Hon David Davis MP opens Cottingham's new Banking Hub

On 9 December, Cottingham became the fourth community in the UK to benefit from a Banking Hub. We were delighted to be joined by the Rt Hon David Davis MP, representatives from our Member firms, councillors, community representatives and national and local journalists.

The Cottingham Hub is operated by Gary Mitchell (pictured with David Davis) who is also the Postmaster for Hessle and Hessle Road Post Offices.

Access to cash services is vital for millions of people around the UK, particularly in challenging financial times, so we’re delighted to open the Banking Hub in Cottingham. Seeing the impact of the existing Hubs on local communities is a reminder of how important these services are – from the counter service to the knowledge and support of the community bankers. As our doors open, we’re looking forward to becoming part of the Cottingham community and supporting local people and businesses.
