Cheadle Banking Hub opens in permanent home

Published on 2 December 2024

A new banking hub offering access to face-to-face banking services and cash in Cheadle has opened at 26-26a High Street.

The official opening will take place between 11am and 12pm on 5th December . Everyone is welcome to attend.

The hub offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub. In Cheadle, the community bankers are available on the following days:

Monday: Santander
Tuesday: Barclays
Wednesday: HSBC
Thursday: NatWest
Friday: Lloyds

Finding the right location for a banking hub that is convenient, accessible and works for everyone often takes time, so Cash Access UK is delighted to have been able to secure convenient premises in the heart of the community. Earlier this year, while the site for the permanent hub was being refurbished, a temporary hub was opened at Lulworth House, 51 High Street. The temporary Hub is now closed.

This is the second banking hub to open in Staffordshire following the opening of a temporary hub in Stone.

Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce the opening of the permanent home of our Cheadle hub, ensuring crucial access to cash and face-to-face banking services which are vital to both residents and businesses across the community. Customers can visit on any day of the week for their everyday banking transactions and if you have a specific or more complex enquiry for your bank, a community banker will be there to help on the day they’re in the Hub.”
