Fife's first banking hub opens in Burntisland
The local community in Burntisland can now access cash and basic banking services at thier new banking hub at its temporary home inside Burntisland First Aid Trust.
The hub offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub:
Monday: No community banker available
Tuesday: TSB
Wednesday: Royal Bank of Scotland
Thursday: Bank of Scotland
Friday: No community banker available
While the hub in Burntisland is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it is currently working to secure a long-term home for the banking hub which will offer the same services. Local residents can check for updates on our website.
There are now 15 hubs open across Scotland with 14 more in progress.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: āIām happy to announce that the new banking hub in Burntisland is now open, giving local people renewed access to cash and in-person banking services. The hub is available for everyday banking transactions every day of the week, and for more specific or complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site to assist on designated days.ā
