Join us at the official opening of Watton Banking Hub
A new Banking Hub in Watton is now open at 56 High Street. The official opening of the Hub will be held on 11th October between 11am-12pm and Mayor Don Saunders will be in attendance to cut the ribbon.
The Hub offers a counter service operated by the Post Office where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It will also offer a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the Hub. In Watton, the Community Bankers are available on the following days:
Monday: Halifax
Tuesday: NatWest
Wednesday: HSBC
Thursday: Lloyds
Friday: Barclays
Finding the right location for a Banking Hub that is convenient, accessible and works for everyone often takes time, so Cash Access UK is delighted to have been able to secure convenient premises in the heart of the community. Our team has been working hard to fit out the premises over the past few months in preparation for the opening.
This is the third Hub to open in Norfolk following Downham Market and Harleston. There are two more Hubs planned for Holt and Thetford.
Cash Access UK can confirm the Temporary Hub at Wayland House has now closed.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “We are happy to announce that the Watton Banking Hub is now open. Access to cash and face-to-face services are vital for millions of people across the country so we’re delighted to continue providing these services for the local community.”
Watton Town Mayor Councillor Don Saunders: “Like many rural towns up and down the country Watton has lost its banks together with other services that are vital for vibrant communities. I'm more than pleased to see the Watton Banking Hub opening and I hope it's another step in rejuvenating the High Street.”
