Labour pledge to support Banking Hub roll-out

Labour Shadow Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, visited our recently opened Knaresborough Banking Hub today, announcing Labour’s pledge to support the Banking Hub roll-out and bring banks back to the High Street.

We're delighted there’s so much cross-party support for Banking Hubs, such as the one in Knaresborough. With 24 Hubs already now open, and three opening today alone, we know that Hubs such as these are already making a huge difference to the communities they serve. They provide vital cash and every day banking services to residents and local small businesses. The Knaresborough Hub is even opening this weekend to provide those important cash services to stallholders, residents, and visitors during the town’s busy Christmas Market.

We’re currently opening more than one Hub a week in towns across the country, with thirty due to open by the end of this year and 50 open by Easter!

And with over 100 Hubs now recommended in total by LINK,  we’re looking forward to bringing many more essential services across the UK over the coming weeks, months and years.
