Mablethorpe temporary Banking Hub opens

The second Banking Hub in Lincolnshire has opened in its temporary home in Mablethorpe. The Hub is located at the Community Learning in Partnership centre on Seacroft Road and will provide local residents and businesses with basic banking and cash services.

The temporary Hub will be open five days a week and will remain available until the new permanent Banking Hub opens. It offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the Hub:

Monday: NatWest

Tuesday: Lloyds

Wednesday: HSBC am (9:00-13:00) Santander (13:00-17:00)

Thursday: Halifax

Friday: Barclays

While the temporary Hub is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it is currently working to secure the permanent home for the Banking Hub. In the coming months, they will provide updates and the Hub open today will remain open until the permanent Hub is up and running.

The temporary Hub was recommended by LINK, the UK’s cash access and cash machine network, following a community request after the town’s last bank branch closed in 2018. Lincolnshire’s first hub is open at a permanent location in Barton-upon-Humber.

Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce that our temporary Banking Hub in Mablethorpe is now open. Residents can now enjoy access to cash and face-to-face banking services once again. We’ll be able to provide an update to the community on a permanent location for the Hub soon.”

Claire Woodward, Head of Business Development, Education and Skills at Acis Group: “CLIP, which is part of Acis Group, is thrilled to welcome the Banking Hub to our Mablethorpe Centre. Our team is excited to host this valuable service, which we believe perfectly complements the range of services we offer. We hope the local community will benefit from much-needed banking services and take the opportunity to learn more about the services we provide that can support them."
