New banking hub opens in Ferryhill
Ferryhill new banking hub has opened in its temporary home inside Dean Bank & Ferryhill Literary Institute.
The hub offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub:
Monday: Lloyds
Tuesday: Barclays
Wednesday: Santander
Thursday: Halifax
Friday: NatWest
While the hub in Ferryhill is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it is currently working to secure a long term home for the banking hub which will offer the same services. Local residents can check for updates on our website.
This is the third banking hub to open in County Durham following openings in Newton Aycliffe and Seaham.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: āIām happy to announce that the new banking hub in Ferryhill is now open, giving local residents renewed access to cash and in-person banking services. The hub is available for everyday banking transactions every day of the week, and for more specific or complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site to assist on designated days.ā
