Warrenpoint Northern Ireland: banking hub location confirmed

Published on 12 August 2024

A brand new banking hub in Northern Ireland will be opened at 7 Church Street.

Banking Hubs make it easy to do your banking face to face, whoever you’re with.

Located in communities across the UK, they’re owned by Cash Access UK and operated by Post Office in partnership with nine major high street banks.

Customers of all major banks and building societies will be able to access cash services from the Post Office counter service, whenever the Hub is open:

  • pay in cash and cheques
  • withdraw cash
  • check your balance
  • pay utility bills
  • top up your gas and electricity
  • access change-giving services (for small businesses)

people can also talk to a Community Banker from their bank on the day your bank is in the Hub. There is a private space where you can talk face-to-face about more complicated banking enquiries like payments and transfers, managing your account, and how to use online banking.

Community Banker schedule:

Monday: Danske

Tuesday: Barclays

Wednesday: Santander

Thursday: Ulster

Friday: Bank of Ireland (am only)

Finding the right location for a Banking Hub that is convenient, accessible and works for everyone often takes time so Cash Access UK is delighted to have been able to secure convenient premises in the heart of the community. This development is a significant step forward in bringing a Banking Hub to Warrenpoint.

The team at Cash Access UK are now working hard to fit out the new premises and will update the community on progress and an opening date as soon as they can. The Warrenpoint Banking Hub page on the Cash Access UK website will provide updates as works progress.

This will be the second Banking Hub to open in Northern Ireland following Kilkeel, with three others planned for Newcastle, Comber, and Portrush.

Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “We are delighted to be able to confirm the location for the Warrenpoint Banking Hub. The Hub will play a key role in providing access to cash and banking services to the local community. We will keep the community updated on our progress.”
